Have you heard about Telehealth or virtual physiotherapy?
According to the college of physiotherapists of Ontario Tele-Rehabilitation is the provision of physiotherapy services from a distance and it involves communication with a patient who is remotely located from the primary physiotherapist providing the services. Tele-Health or Tele-Physiotherapy incorporates the use of technology such as web-based communication and video conferencing.
In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, Telehealth has arisen more, as an excellent way for people to continue seeking medical services while being in the privacy and safety of their own homes. Through delivering treatment online rather than in person, we will keep both our patients and PT services comfortable and stable.
For more information on our telehealth services and how they may benefit you, feel free to call us at (416) 224-8484.
What is Telehealth?
Telehealth is a way for service and medical professionals such as physiotherapists, to guarantee that patients continue to get the best treatment available from a distant area, such as their home.
At PhysioD, our telehealth services offerlive appointments where you can meet and chat with our physiotherapist about your treatment plan.
Telehealth programs can be accessed by smartphone or device, allowing you to complete physiotherapy sessions from the convenience of your own home. You’ll also be able to track your results and see how you’re doing as your therapy progresses.
At any point, you can also message one of our physiotherapists to ask questions or get advice about your condition.
What issues and conditions can Telehealth therapy treat?
There are tons of conditions that Telehealth therapy can help to treat. Some of the most common ones are Post-surgical rehab and Injury rehab.
Feel free to contact our office to find out if telehealth physiotherapy is a good fit for you.
